Editorial charter
I host a technology programme on a public radio station and I run a company in the same sector. That situation calls for explicit rules rather than verbal assurances. Here they are.
I do not cover Lobaka’s direct competitors on air. No company whose activity overlaps with language-services management for events will receive editorial treatment from me — not in reporting, not in interviews, not in commentary.
I always declare my interest. When a subject touches Lobaka, directly or by adjacency, I say so on air and mark it visibly on this site. Affected articles carry a disclosure box.
Guest selection remains independent. No guest is booked or dropped on commercial grounds. No invitation is for sale, in any form.
These commitments apply to Africa Tech and to the news bulletin alike. They may be held against me.
